Webinar:  Fraud in Our Current Health Care Criss

Course Description: This course will provide an overview of the types of frauds which are being discovered during our current health crisis.  From personal protective equipment frauds to small businesses discovering frauds that had been happening before the pandemic began, we’ll go through examples from today’s headlines.  For each of these frauds we will look at ways that CFEs could have helped prevent the fraud and also ways that CFEs can assist with the post-discovery clean up.

  • Learn from frauds found in today’s headlines.
  • Discover ways CFEs can assist with prevention, investigation, and clean-up of these frauds.
  • Take away tools that can be used immediately in every CFEs practice.

About the Presenter: 

Janet McHard, Founding Partner, The McHard Firm

Janet M. McHard, CPA, CFE, MAFF, CFF, Founding Partner of The McHard Firm, is an award-winning speaker and long-time faculty member for Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  The McHard Firm is a firm specializing in forensic accounting, fraud prevention, and accounting reconstruction. Together with her partner and staff, Janet conducts forensic and investigative accounting in matters concerning alleged white collar crimes, embezzlements, employee theft and other disputed accounting issues.  Janet holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Mexico as well as an M.B.A. from the University of New Mexico’s Robert O. Anderson Graduate School of Management.  In 2016 Janet was inducted in the UNM Anderson Schools of Management Hall of Fame.  She holds a CPA in New Mexico, Arizona and California.  She currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Commissioners for the Albuquerque Housing Authority.
