Chapter History

The El Paso chapter was formed in August 2014 to serve the El Paso/Las Cruces area. The Chapter was approved by the ACFE on August 27, 2014 with approximately 63 members from the El Paso/Las Cruces area. The Chapter is a not-for-profit entity whose primary purpose is to serve the community by the promotion of improved fraud detection and deterrence and through the expansion of knowledge and the interaction of its members.

The El Paso Area ACFE Chapter supports the ACFE mission to reduce the incidence of fraud and white-collar crime and to assist the Membership in fraud detection and deterrence.  In addition, our Chapter’s mission is to provide quality and affordable local training necessary to earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours required to maintain the Certified Fraud Examiner designation; to provide networking opportunities and promote member interaction allowing for the exchange of ideas, mutual help, and professional development; and to develop a program to provide community service and increase fraud awareness in our community.
